Safely Storing Your Sex Toys

When you have an ample collection of sex toys you can undoubtedly have a lot of fun but there is a time and a place for that fun. If you have your own collection you know how costly your sex toys can be so you will want to take care of them and store them in a safe place when you are not playing with them or if you have company! The best idea is to create your own little toy box that can be neatly stored away when it needs to be but can also be pulled out in a moment's notice.

You can use just about any type of box or carton to store your sex toys in, but if it is plastic you will want to be sure that all of the toys are clean and dry when you put them in the box. As you probably know, plastic will retain the moisture and some of the synthetic materials, such as the fake skin type toys, will literally rot and be destroyed. These are some of the most expensive sex toys so you'll want to make doubly sure that they are clean and dry when they go in the box. You may want to make sure that your sex toy box has a locking or latching mechanism on it so that it does not tumble out of a drawer or off a shelf at an inopportune time (such as when you are trying on a new dress for your mother!) and cause you embarrassment.

Many people keep their sex toys under their bed and this is fine assuming that you do not have children! Many children like to get under their parents bed to play or snoop around and your menagerie of sex toys may be difficult to explain. A closet shelf or other such area would probably be the best place to store your toy box. A nightstand door would also be a suitable place to store your sex toy box because it's private, out of sight, and within reach so you can pull it out at a moment's notice.

All of your sex toys should be clean and dry as stated above before they go into the box. If you fail to clean them the bacteria can breed while inside of the box and cause more problems than you might expect. Most of your sex toys can be cleaned with warm water and dish soap. If you have something that cannot be immersed in water you can spray it with bleach water and then wipe it dry. You may want to let your toys air dry for a couple hours before putting them in the toy box, if possible. If you do this every time you play your sex toys will last as long as you want them to!
